Budget Ball is a free fantasy football game. There are no entry fees, no prizes and nothing to pay for, so we take no payment details and have no reason to build a profile of you. This page says exactly what we do hold.
What we collect
If you sign in with Google we receive your email address, your name, your profile picture and your Google account ID. We use the email to identify your account, and the name and picture only to fill in your profile — which you are asked to confirm or change before anything is shown.
If you sign in with an email link we receive your email address and nothing else.
As you play we store the leagues you join, the lineups you build, and what they scored.
We do not ask for your date of birth, address, phone number or payment details, and there is nowhere in the app to enter them.
What other people can see
This is the part worth reading. Budget Ball has a global leaderboard that anyone can view without an account. It shows your display name, your profile picture, the name of your league, your score, and the players in your lineup.
Your display name is yours to choose. We suggest a shortened form of your Google name — “Ron A.” rather than your full name — and ask you to confirm it when you first sign in. You can set it to anything at any time from your profile.
Your email address is never shown to anyone. It is not stored alongside your public profile and is not part of any page or feed.
Lineups stay private until each player’s game has finished. Your leaguemates cannot see who you picked while it could still help them.
Who else touches it
We keep the list short and use each of these for one job:
- Supabase — stores the database and runs sign-in.
- Vercel — hosts the site and serves every page.
- Mailtrap — sends sign-in links. It handles your email address to deliver them.
- Google — only if you choose to sign in with Google.
Player photos and team badges load from Sleeper, ESPN and Google’s image servers. Your browser fetches those directly, so those companies see your IP address in the same way any image on any website would. We send them nothing about you.
We do not use advertising, analytics or tracking pixels, and we have never sold or shared personal data with anyone for their own purposes.
How long we keep it
For as long as your account exists. Ask us to delete it and we remove your account, your profile and your lineups.
Results already recorded in a league’s history may remain in that league’s standings without your name attached, because removing them would change other people’s seasons.
Your choices
- Change your display name whenever you like, from your profile.
- Delete your account yourself, from your profile.
- Ask for a copy of what we hold, or ask us to delete it, by emailing privacy@budgetball.xyz.
- Disconnect Budget Ball from your Google account at any time in your Google account settings.
Deleting your account removes your email address, your Google link and every session — you cannot sign back in, and nothing identifying is left. Weeks you have already played stay in your leagues’ standings under “Former manager”, because removing them would rewrite other people’s seasons.
Children
Budget Ball is not intended for children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect anything from them. If you believe a child has an account, email us and we will remove it.
Changes
If we start collecting something new or showing something publicly that we do not today, this page changes first and the date at the top moves with it.
